My teaching interests reside at the intersection of writing with Native Studies, Disability Studies, and Queer Studies, which I explore through multi-modal thematic courses. My classes emphasize process, revision, research; I meet emerging writers where they are to help them grow as writers.
My current first year writing course, Sites, Sights and Selves, invites students to explore their identities and diversity via reflection essays, pop culture reviews, and LA institutions to assess how they contribute to the representation of a student-selected identity.
